The world has never been more complicated. But only if we allow it to be. Our minds are set up to be on constant alert. Sometimes that becomes the normal state of mind. But it shouldn’t. And it doesn’t have to be.
What’s amazing is that the human mind is capable of relaxing itself. But it’s difficult to do that when everything your brain is picking up on tells you that you have to fight or that it’s not worth going outside. You find yourself reaching for short-term fixes. (Alcohol, caffeine, and sugar are examples of this.)
However, you can improve and feel better using the power of your mind. My practice offers two solutions:
